About Me (Ms. Blue)
My name is Jennifer Blunier although most students and members of the Ashley High School community call me Ms. Blue.

By the time I reached I high school I had moved eight times and lived in seven states. I therefore don't have a place i'm really from although I claim Ohio as that is where I attended high school and college. I graduated from Ohio University with a degree in English Pre-Law and set out to teach for three years before going to Law School. I fell in love with teaching during the first year and Law School was out the window.

I started my teaching career in Miami, Florida where I spent seven years teaching High School English and Reading and serving as a Reading Coach at three high schools and one middle school. From there I moved to Tarboro, NC to help open a new charter school before moving to Wilmington and becoming a Screaming Eagle at Ashley High School.

I love to travel and engage in outdoor activities. In the past I have spent Spring Breaks and Summer Breaks traveling across America exploring National and State Parks. I was hoping to take my three year old daughter, Rylin, on our first big adventure this summer but alas it's 2020. I've visited all but three states (Hawaii, North Dakota, and Vermont) in my travels. Alaska is one of my favorite destinations and western America is full of great places to explore. If you are ever in Idaho I highly suggest Craters of the Moon National Park.
